Since our early days as a Self Insurance Fund, quality customer service was a main component of the company's success. When we converted to a mutual captive insurance company in 2002, we continue with the belief that our members are the key to our success. In addition to providing reliable, cost effective workers' compensation, we strive to maintain a long lasting relationship with each of our insured's.
Our Personal Touch
When you have question concerning your policy or a claim, you can always count on speaking with a local 'live' person. Our company does not rely on call centers or voice automated systems. Our service team will work directly with you or through your independent agent. You'll be able to contact a representative from any of our departments, whether it's claims, underwriting or billing.
Stability and Security
Our reinsurance partner is New York Marine & General, rated “A” (Excellent) by A.M. Best. New York Marine & General provides specific and employers liability reinsurance for United Business. The specific provides a $5,000,000 limit each and every loss, including a $500,000 self-insured retention. We have a separate employer’s liability policy through New York Marine & General with a $1,000,000 limit. In addition, we are covered by the Georgia Insolvency Pool. We stand by our sound underwriting guidelines established with our reinsurers, and we have developed a conservative book with high retention levels.
